NEW HYDRAULICALLY EXTENDABLE MARKERS NOW
AVAILABLE FOR 2015
The markers are suitable for marking out as far as 24 feet from the centre of the tractor. This allows 4 ploughs down on 72 inch beds. The markers can also come in to 18 feet from the centre of the tractor for bed making using half depth.
Both the left side and the right side markers can be operated without leaving the tractor seat.
NEW UPGRADED 2 BODY BED MAKER (HEAVY DUTY)
For the 2015 spring season, we will have a new 2 body bed maker. The new machine is our heavy duty model and will be superseding the standard model in the course of time as tractor horse power increases. The new machine has thicker box section, shorter plough beams and a longer leg to help form the bed a little better. The gas accumulator bottles are improved also for the 'Auto-Reset' models of machine. An altogether stronger and more robust machine.
86% PACK OUT RESULTS FOR NOTTINGHAMSHIRE CARROT
Jake Spencer, operator at John Bealby & Sons was delighted to produce this testimonial film for us from their 2014 separating season. During the harvest so far they have seen a packout rate of between 82 - 86% on Nairobi Carrots.
A special thanks is extended to Jake Spencer for this testimonial
A POSITIVE RESPONSE IN SWEDEN...
Attending the 2 day exhibition at Elmia in Sweden this week proved a worth while event, showing our new stone harvesting elevator, bed maker and windrower. Hosted by our Swedish dealers; Maskin Gruppen and Östra Sönnarslöv Traktorservice AB we received a very warm welcome and interest from many potato growers across Scandinavia.

OPEN 8 ROWS BY WINDROWING WITH EXTENSION
An additional development available on the windrower is the extension cross conveyor, allowing the field to have 8 rows cleared out in front of the harvester to allow ample room for the trailers to run in.
It is expected that a rack and pinion system will be available by the 2015 season to allow the conveyor to discharge over 2 rows on either side.

PROPELLED HARVESTER DEMONSTRATION...

Potatoes in Practice is an annual event convenient for us to exhibit at. Many thanks to everyone who came along, an enjoyable day.
Shown at Potatoes in Practice this year was a ScanStone 4 Webber De-Stoner, Dewulf Self Propelled Harvester and 2 Windrowers, one with full cleaning and one with single row cleaning.
DRY WEATHER PUTS NO OBJECT IN THE WAY OF WINDROWING
Shown above is 6 row harvesting with the ScanStone windrower and Dewulf harvester in the dry condtions of England this season. An effective cleaning and Haulm extraction system allows this windrower to keep out in front of even self propelled bunker harvesters.
The cost savings by windrowing are enormous:
- Harvesting 6 rows at a time cuts harvester running costs by one third
- Harvesters run on the ground less often reducing compaction
- Less waiting trailers are needed in the field, cutting tractor costs
- Safety in volume by having a fuller harvester, reducing roll-back and damage
- The Windorwer is a manoeuvrable machine, decreasing time spent turning on short headlands
- The Windrower is easy to operate, but outputs the same as a harvester
